What do I need for Fertility Texting?

Fertility texting requires any cell phone that supports text messaging (virtually all phones made in the past several years do). It also requires a free account at MyFertilityCharts.com. Your data is analyzed on this site using powerful fertility software, so there is no need to download or install any application on your phone or computer. This service is also free!

How to Use Fertility Texting

Fertility Texting uses standard text messaging (sms messaging) to communicate with MyFertilityCharts.com. Once you have an account you can register your cell phone with that account. This lets the service know who you are when it receives your text messages.

After you are setup, you simply compose a normal text message on your phone. This is no different than sending a message to your friend. Instead of typing in a phone number, you type in the server's address.

Then you specify whatever information you want to record. For example, perhaps you want to record the start of your period (menstruation) and/or a basal body temperature reading. Assuming you prefer Fahrenheit, you could send the following to record both of these symptoms:

Finding out information is just as easy. You simply create a text message and request the type of information you want (e.g. recorded notes, your fertility status, your cycle summary, your symptothermal chart, ovulation dates, etc.). Within a few seconds you will receive a text message containing the information you requested. It is that easy. For example, to request your fertility status you would simply send a text message containing:

The command interface is fully customizable. Let's say you don't like having to send mens to indicate the occurence of menstruation. Perhaps you would rather send period instead. Fertility Texting supports this. Just login to your MyFertilityChats.com account and customize your text messaging commands to replace the default commands with whatever you want.
